In order to get longest route it is often convenient to place the two starting settlements close together (2-4 road pieces apart) and have their roads point towards each other.

In all deck-building games deck control is most important, you will soon enough be flooded in cards, but controlling which of these you get in your hand is very important.

For this reason I always try to get Penguin, Super Speed, and any cards that allow you to remove cards from your deck.

The Batmobile also helps this in case you get a bad hand you can recycle it, and as Batman it is even better as you still get the +1 Power from playing it.

As the renegade your job is to pretend to be a vice sheriff. This means not shooting at the sheriff and bluffing a great deal.

We tried playing this game more than 10 people divided up into teams, where each team was dressed up and represented a land. The russians For example were dressed up in russian-looking military uniforms and were simulating a ridiculous russian accent and shouted loud for more vodka all the time. It made it fun for everyone, because we were acting out our “personalities”. Even the losing teams were having a good time.

An alternate way to play this game is to play until you destroy all other robots in the ring. To make this feasable in a short amount of time we usually all start out with 3 upgrade cards because this makes it a lot more interesting.

A strategy I tried once was building no resource buildings. I was seated next to Pyramids of Giza and had the marketplace in that direction. This in turn forced both the players beside me to build more resources because they needed them and I didn’t provide them.

The upside was that I avoided using buildings on resources, and could instead use them on something that could score points for me or could be upgraded later on.

The only downside was that I needed to build a few buildings which game money, to buy the resources from my neighbours.

As Stark protect your shores, because we had a game where Greyjoy moved a ship to the western shore and constantly harassed Stark by plundering because Stark couldn’t consolidate any power this way.

It might not be what is in the series but Starks need their ships fast.

You can easily play more than 4 players, the only thing you need is an expansion to get enough decks.
