7 Wonders

45 out of 74 gamers thought this was helpful

With a mass of tokens and varied cards, 3 different decks and 7 game boards, 7 Wonders appears daunting at first glance to tyros of gaming. However, after about 1 or 2 plays the rules flow so beautifully that a game that used to take 45 minutes to an hour could turn into a 15 minute game with the right crowd.

Play begins by acquiring resources and primitive structures in the early Age. However, your investments in the first Age, pay off as you upgrade your previously archaic structures into a glorious metropolis built around the structure of one of the 7 Ancient Wonders of the World. Play flows smoothly and seamlessly between the 3 different ages and progress leaps forward in bounds.

The game also includes rules for a 2 player variant and supports up to 7 people. I personally recommend it for 3-5 people at its very best. This game has the potential to become a modern classic like Catan.
