I’ve been unpacking my copy of this recently too! Really need to give this a go – the rules seem straightforward but the number of cards and amount of information on them acts as a bit of an obstacle in getting this to the table.
The BGdot Disembodied Hands continue to fight the good fight against punchboard escapees.
Imperial Settlers has been on my radar for awhile thanks to whispers from the Tower which came about from BGdot whispers of Deus. I’d be happy to get my hands on either soon.

Imperial Settlers plays just like 51st State (if you’ve played that before). If not, it’s a card driven game where you build an engine in front of you to get more cards that have victory pints on them. The cards have different powers or resources that allow you to get more cards, destroy (raze) your building or another players, or get more resources. If you’ve played Deus…Deus is similar, but a little easier to build and engine.
I should also mention that each faction has a different set of cards from which only the user can take…as well as a common deck. This forces you to learn how to best play the faction you use. Some are easier than others (4 total).
How does this play? Anything it is similar to?
@Paladin
Otis Redding and I feel you, man.
Great game, with a tremendous amount of replayability.
LOVE Imperial Settlers.
But my copy of WCWBF is sitting on a dock somewhere, holding up the rest of a CardHaus order until April 30th. Boo!
