I’m a big fan of Cutthroat Caverns and the way it teeters on the brink of co-op and what I can’t say is outright Backstab, but Death by 1000 cuts. Well – until the final Big Bad – then things get ugly.

Relic & Runes and Tombs and Tomes are nifty little ‘just enough’ expansions. They populate the caverns with some fresh face – but most importantly the Events and Relics don’t over-saturate the game play. The random activation numbers mean that just because you draw them doesn’t mean they come into play – sometimes with a sigh of relief. You can play a game of CC and only have about 2-4 Events pop and two very sought after artifacts show up. Usually, just in time or at a most inopportune one.

That looks to be a nice expansion for a great looking game. And, those certainly are “over-sized” Encounter cards.
