According to The Boy I am supposed to deliver a message of one word.

That one word is:

CONAN

@Account Ah I see – just goes to show that along with the Kickstarter motto of ‘Take my Cash – PLEASE!’ as one throws it at the monitor the flip side of the coin is ‘An Educated Backer is a Fulfilled Backer’ 🙂

@Hai – completely agree on the price point… call it a decision made due to lack of options! (If I was willing to take on another zombie game, RFD could have rectified that… but not right now).

As for the funding goal, I’m always VERY leery of low funding goals. But there are a few factors that made me get over it in this case. First, Joe Magic Games’ successfully funded projected (Giant) delivered early off of just $1,900 in funds. Second, this is a re-launch of a failed campaign that raised $3,500… but at a lower price ($36 early bird, $42 regular). They figured out what cost per unit they can do very small runs for and raised the price accordingly – that makes the game overpriced, but not one I’d worry about never receiving.

@Account Just standard Kickstarter daily operations – slap some sexy dame-age around randomly in a game for the boys playing at home or check this out ladies – we have female player characters….as a stretch goal! *hmph*

My storage kink is loving the Box of Holding Trend so Pixel Tactics DELUXE and RFoD Zombie Pen for me. (Well RFD for The Boy and consistency’s sake as he backed the original campaign and most 8th Summit stuff – I got the ‘girl’ game of Coven :P)

Tiny Epic Galaxies because there’s always bang for the buck in The Tinies.

Grimtooth’s Traps for a snazzy hardback and sublime and ridiculous resource read. (Although The Boy backed Tunnels and Trolls for me in Padre Memorium and it is still wildly unfulfilled 🙁 :()

@AD Demise of Dr. F – really? I like the cut of the body snatching jib but I am always wary of low funding goals and inflated percentiles. Seems a high price point vs content also.

@Hai… it’s weird, right? And that kind of caricature doesn’t seem to appear anywhere in the game (at least not from the limited artwork they’ve shown). Hmmmm indeed.

TEG and the RFD Big Box upgrade are on my to-pledge list.

Hmmmm…what does a cheesecake pose by a girl in a ST:NexGen Troi toga have to do with the Industrial Revolution?

My only carry-over is 12 Realms: Ghost Town.

2 new campaigns backed this last week (finally! I was going through withdrawal…):

The Demise of Dr. Frankenstein: a worker placement Frankenstein game? I’m too curious to pass…

Tiny Epic Galaxies: I have had Tiny Epic Kingdoms for 3 months and haven’t played it. I backed Tiny Epic Defenders, but it’s not among my most anticipated unfulfilled kickstarters. So why bother with TEG? Well, the available previews for it state it’s better than either of its predecessors, and Scott Almes still has a lot of built-up goodwill with me from the outstanding Kings of Air and Steam.
