Smash Up
So I played this game last night with my 50-something Mother and my 12 year old sister, one of whom was drunk (I’ll let you figure out who). It was incredible fun hearing my Mom announce the first pick in the Smash Up draft “Ninjas” with as much enthusiasm as she did. Of course she went on to pick Tricksters as well (not recommended for a first time playing) and spent the whole game upset with the fact that she couldn’t play a lot of her cards. My sister proceeded to cackle all game with her choice of Alien Zombies, though she did struggle trying to remember her discard pile (even while my Mom helped her out almost every turn she could by constantly killing her Tenacious Z’s thus never really doing any damage…). In the end of course I overcame with my Dinosaur Wizards but hearing my aging mother say “Next time I won’t pick those **** leprechauns” was worth the purchase alone.
