Pandemic
Cures are the priority. Not eradication, not treatment and not stopping outbreaks. Use outbreaks and epidemics as resources and manage their negative effects using your combination of character skills. The Quarantine Specialist is great for clusters of infected cities in this regard, although it can be quite boring to stay in the same place for a few turns…
Stay focussed on sharing cards as much as possible, liberally build Research Stations using the Operations Expert to enable your team to hop around the map more easily and give more options for locations to cash in cards for cures.
Don’t underestimate the power of the Dispatcher / Medic combo for managing the fallout of bad outbreaks or hoovering up cubes for a quick eradication (only if it doesn’t distract from passing cards to team mates for cures!).
The Researcher / Scientist combo is particularly effective at quickly getting cards to the Scientist for the 4 card cure bonus. With a Dispatcher involved, you can even pick a card from another player and pass it to the Researcher with a little co-ordination, depending on the play order of your team.
Also, the Contingency Planner can be a real life saver. Doubling down on One Quiet Night can give you some serious breathing space if you are running hot on the infection rate and close to blowing the game with another outbreak.
Fundamentally, team mobility and exchanging cards as much as possible outweigh the impact of infections and outbreaks. As long as you don’t neglect any one element and don’t aim for perfection (eradication), you give your team the best chance to win.
