I find that Hidden Roles can been the desicive factor for a lot of games. You need to figure out what roles are out there as soon as possible, while trying to hide what your role is at the same time. Once you figure out which roles are out there you can figure out which moves give you the most points. One way to cast doubt on your role is to declare somebody else has the role you actually have when they make a move that makes them suspicious, this will cast doubt that you actually have this role (at least the person you accused will probably asssume you do not have this role).

Most of the time, I try to not invest into my role too much untill the last round. Then, you can swoop in with a move that gets you a lot of points while taking all the dice that are needed to contribute towards your role. This usually works unless you know more than 2 people plan on using the same type of dice and before you.
