I wanted to leave this as a Review, but for some reason I can’t. So I’m putting it here.

The guys who invented this time travel based card game were clearly experienced CCG players, but the game they created has something really different and very exciting. I love that in this game there is no way to get resource screwed, because resources are not based on playing lands or holdings or locations or any other kind of
resource providing card; its based on the number of cards in your hand! This makes things easy to calculate but also puts the decisions on how many cards to play or draw firmly in the hands of the players. It’s a fantastic mechanic! I love the theme, the story of traveling through time trying to defeat you opponent.
I played 2 games straight out of the boxes, Cyborgs vs Mercs. Cyborgs always seemed to get some damage in early but Mercs dominated in the end game. I had a lot of fun playing this game!

There is a video on youtube ( http://youtu.be/HW-yEwnb0ws ) of a demo of the newly redesigned Star Wars LCG from FFG. THANKFULLY they abandoned the cooperative play idea and are back to an asymmetrical card game with some interesting mechanics using tokens. This looks like it could end up being a great card game, after a long series of failures to make a compelling Star Wars card game over the last 10 years.

So I heard the makers of ARC were at Gencon 2012. Did anyone get a demo or purchase decks?

I have this game. It seems like a lot of fun. Still haven’t been able to convince my playgroup to bust it out. I have heard that the expansion for it makes a big difference!

Just finished reading the rulebook FFG put on the website. I am so excited! As a long time player of the old CCG, I’m actually really looking forward to the factions and some new flavors. The change to Bad Publicity blew my mind but left me excited to see how it will affect gameplay.
