We have several different versions of Uno at our house. I like the National Park version myself, with the ‘bear’ card that when played the player calls out a color and then each player must draw from the pile until they get a card of that color. It’s great!

Sometimes I think it is almost more challenging to set out as the player that blocks the others from completing routes. It changes up the game a bit and makes the others start to wait before placing trains on the board, making for a more complex game.

We printed up our own stock cards using the airlines and their trade options available at the time. It’s been years and many of those airlines are no longer around, but it is still a favorite of our gaming crowd.

I like this game for the complexity it offers. It’s simple, but yet takes a bit to understand and involves strategy. I was very excited when the new expansions came out for the Western half of the United States and the other countries.
