We recently got Ancient Terrible Things in the mail and are super excited to play it. It should be a nice change up from the deep rules and long playtimes of our current favorite Myth.

I think that we may have to go for Killer Bunnies this weekend. We also have a game called Pots, that we’ve been meaning to play for ages. It will depend a bit on whether we can peel our son away from Minecraft for a bit (which may be harder given what he’s getting for Easter.
Just picked up a copy of Le Havre, so I’m sure we’ll play that. Probably play a Castles of Burgundy or Trajan as well as Paperback.
It’s an EGG game day on Saturday, and an egg game day on Sunday. So, lots of games this weekend of one sort or another.
To celebrate, we will be playing Dancing Eggs, Bunny, Bunny, Moose, Moose, and Easter Island on Sunday. This is after we spend several hours hiding and re-hiding eggs in the backyard. Oh, the joys of parenthood.
Happy Easter Everyone!
Chicago-area Kotei (regional tournament) for Legend of the Five Rings. Just got my Kickstarter rewards for Ninja Dice yesterday, so I may bring that along for quick pick-up games.
I’ve been waiting anxiously to play Keyflower with the Farmers expansion. I plan on playing it today, since I’m off work early. Can’t wait! I’m a huge fan of meeples and animeeples.
I have a copy of The Doom That Came To Atlantic City, so I am hoping to get that open and on the table.
We have some nephews and nieces coming over this weekend so we will probably see more “junior” games hitting the table. Hopefully we can get them to play King of Tokyo. Other than that the games hot for my wife and I are Core Worlds and Suburbia.
Well, if all goes according to plan, I will be playing more Edge of the Empire on Saturday. Beyond that I don’t really have any concrete gaming plans, but I am hoping to get in something. Sunday is Easter, so in addition to regular church meetings we’ll be doing family activities (egg hunt, family dinner) that could potentially include some gaming.
Monday I have off (ah, the joys of working in Massachusetts) so I have more potential opportunities for gaming there. If I’m lucky, I should be able to get in a game of Tokaido or Takenoko, and if I’m really lucky I might be able to teach my mother Race for the Galaxy (again).
@Kassidy: Awesome! I noticed your comment about that last weekend while I was browsing from my phone, but it was buried DEEP in a news article by the time I got back from my journey.
We’ll have to connect over the summer at some point. I haven’t been a “couples guy” for particularly long and it might be great to hang out with another gamer couple!
@Paladin: I just got approved for an apartment in Somerville in June, and Nimera will be following shortly after. We’re always looking to meet more gamers!
This weekend we’re likely to bust out Tokaido, The Lord of the Rings: The Card Game, and maybe a few quick games of Magic: The Gathering. Non-game-wise, we’ll be foraging for fiddleheads and ramps in the forest!
I have yet to win Ghost Stories after 40 plays on the ipad. It is a frustration I periodically return to for some reason.
We will get Dominion (my wife’s favorite) in. We will have family over so we may get the scrabble version out (Paperback). My son is sure to have us play his current favorite: Titanium Wars.
@Jim: What’s your favorite Hero to play in MYTH currently? I’d love to hear some of your opinions and impressions of the game in general (since @HaiKulture and myself have been so consistently vocal about ours).
Tonight we have invited another couple over for homemade soft pretzels, hot dogs (those aren’t homemade, just deli style natural casing), and freshly-baked cookies. This is an excuse for me to coerce three people into some Ghost Stories, Wiz-War, and maybe Shadows Over Camelot.
