At the beginning of each game I like to set the scene for the upcoming game. Something like, “Oh my god… Omnitron is trying to take over the mars base! We better make a call to the Sentinels of the Multiverse to save them. They send Legecy, Bunker, Ra, and … oh wait, Ra is off fighting in Atlantis you say, no problem we will send Tempest and Wraith to save the day.”

You get the idea.

As you play you can also add a bit of story telling to your turn. “Legecy jumps forward and smacks Omnitron making a loud Thunk!” (as you play the Thunk card)

You get the idea. This type of think can really raise the drama and excitement to the game.

We played this yesterday. Its important that everyone be at least familiar with all of the roles. There are multiple damage cards that force people to switch roles. I ended up being shields, sensors, engineer, and jump drive by the end of the game.

My son is 7 going on 8. He thought it was difficult to play, mostly because of the speed of the play. To make him more comfortable with and to make it a little easier for him we played with the treasures but left off the curses. This worked out well for us.
