I have found that having a large amount of research centers on the board makes the game much more manageable. The quick travel between them and always having one close to you prevents turns in which you waste time traveling from place to place.

After a disease color is cured it is a good idea to keep the card of that color to use if you need to make a quick flight into an area or build a research center.

I have found it can be very easy to “forget” about one of the diseases. you move to an area of the board (say the red disease zone) and tend to leave the yellow disease to do what it wants. Even if you do not have cities with 3 cubes in them, try and do some quick clean up runs through the area to prevent any unpredictable out breaks. Having said that, toward the end of the game do not get caught up in going all out and trying to eradicate a disease because it can waste time that could be better spent elsewhere
