I picked up the iPad version the week before I got the physical game, and by the time the game arrived, I understood many of the nuances of the game.

Risk is a great introduction to strategy games, and one of our favourite cottage pastimes.

Games can take a little bit on the long side, but it’s a lot of fun.

My kids (3 and 6) are getting more use out of this than my regular gaming group.

It’s fun, fast, and incredibly simple. Good for a few minutes of gaming, especially if the gang hasn’t seen each other in a few weeks.

I bought Munchkin Deluxe, which comes with the cards and rules, plus 6 figures, player cards, a die, and a board to track player levels. My buddy bought regular Munchkin for just about the same price as me and has had to go back and buy all of the other things.

Munchkin is a TON of fun, especially if you start to pick up some of the enhancement decks. So far I have purchased Need for Steed, as well as the smaller Conan 15 card enhancement, Munchkin Reloaded, and Munchkin Marked for Death.

Each one of them adds another layer to this already great game.

I love the back stabbing, the rule twisting, and the name calling that occurs during a good game of Munchkin. It’s a fast game that has found a regular place in our gaming rotation.
