Fluxx

Flux is a card game with ever-changing rules and win conditions. The game begins with one basic rule, which the players add to from their hand over the course of the game. Sometimes the rules make the game-play boring, and tedious, and sometimes the turns become so long and complex, that you can sit for five minutes waiting for your opponent to complete a turn. I like to play Flux as a mindless way to kill time, usually when I’m too tired to play something else. As a game, it’s just OK to me.

I absolutely love the game of Dominion. This is a deck building game where you build you deck as you play. There is a combination of luck and strategy that helps to make your heart race every time you draw a new hand. There are a great number of possible combinations to play with, which makes the game dynamic, and completely re-playable, and with several expansions now available, the number of combinations you can play with is almost mind-boggling. Dominion, along with each of it’s expansions; Intrigue, Seaside, Prosperity, Alchemy, and Cornucopia, promises to be a longtime favorite of mine.

I played Smallworld first, which my sister owns and really liked it. When I saw Underground, I decided I had to have it. The game has very minor differences, and still has the same enjoyment value. My only real criticism is in regards to the number of pieces. We’re really careful with our games, but I am still worried about losing pieces.

This game I am entirely new to, only played 4-5 times, but I do like it. It was simple to learn, and although there seems to be a lot of components involved, the turns have a repeat pattern, which makes it simple to get into the swing of things.

This is a recent buy for me after playing at a friends house. I do greatly enjoy the game, and find it to be almost relaxing to play.
