Do you like doing puzzle type games such as Sudoku?
This game is fun as a puzzle by yourself. When no one else will play a game, you can always pull this out.

Do you like speed based games such as Slap Jack or Speed?
In a group this is a speed based game. You are racing to find the matches first.

This is a fun game alone, with two players or a small group.
Racing to find the next set; groaning when the set someone else called first takes one of the cards in the set you just discovered; sharpening your skills as you learn to see the sets! I love it!

This is a great game expansion. In addition to what Jon has said already, I’d add that it provides a slightly shifted value for the basic resources. Since you have to hire and feed Knights, your value for wheat in particular is slightly higher than in the original game. I find this balances out the resources.

The route cards are a great variation in this game! It’s also been a fabulous addition to our two player game library.

I miss the stations from Europe, and it’s a challenge only being able to use wild cards on tunnels. But change is inevitable in life, and that’s the way with games too 🙂

I love that I have a variety of ways into each country. I love that I get to choose which country to connect my country to city or country to country route cards to. This is often a very high route card game. You may easily end up with a dozen or more completed routes before you’re done! Have fun connecting!

I love this game! It is a challenge I enjoy to keep my route in my head and to manipulate my route according to where others interfere and what color train cards come up. Overall a good challenge that’s fun for gamers and amateur gamers alike.
