This game has been extremely popular with my group since its release. This game allows people who are not that interested in DnD to enjoy this game as the whole Forgotten Realms theme does not really interfere with the gameplay. It also has a lot of replay value as there are many Lord Cards and you will almost surely get a different one every time you play. The production value of this game is excellent with a very nice and thick board, some nice wooden cubes and a bunch of tokens. Storage within the box is very neat but you may want to keep the cut-outs from the tokens as this will prevent the pieces from falling out. This game is extremely easy to teach and the concept of it is easy to grasp for people who are laying for the first time. After playing a few rounds, this game reveals its true colors as it transforms a game of symbiosis to one where all the different Lords are trying to get all the resources they require before the other Lords beat them to it. Scoring for this game is easy to keep track of so long as you don’t forget to move your token along the scoring track, lined along the perimeter of the board. Overall, this game is an excellent combination of strategy and competition and will probably get you hooked after just a few plays. 🙂
