Trade your cards and try to wind up on top. The game is incredible simple to learn and based off pretty simple presentation. Once you break the four player barrier and have a large group though, the strategy breaks down a bit and becomes confusion and a race to just finish first. Enjoyable but not for those who are susceptible to headaches.

I always enjoy a solid role playing game and Betrayal takes that element and expands the concept. As you play you begin to build the game board itself, finding items that will increase your player’s stats. At some point however, one of the players becomes the overall antagonist and the goal becomes defeating or leaving the house. This game is a little bit more difficult to learn and play but a riot once you have the hang of it.

Nothing is more simple than draw one play one card games; the twist comes when you are changing the rules every round. What makes this game wonderful is that there is no real handicap for new players. So long as a player can understand how the rules can change (which is easy to explain) then the game can quickly evolve new players into immediately after the first round. Not the best with just two players but a ton of fun with more three or more.

Though I have played this game once, it is enjoyable from start to finish. So long as you minimize table talk then trying to work with teammates becomes fast paced and interesting as you try to make the best move for your team without being screwed over by the traitor.

What an enjoyable game. Much like Shadow over Camelot, your goal is to complete number of objectives while you are playing against a deck. The twist comes when there is always a traitor and you never know when you are about to be invaded. At the beginning of the game you can choose characters, who have strengths and weaknesses, and are dealt a deck of influence. As you progress you use your deck to influence the chance encounters and attempt to go to Earth. A quiet situation can quickly turn into a deadly fight as one card draw can summon multiple ships that can quickly deplete your resources.

BSG the board game is loads of fun with strategy, betrayal, and a ominous sense that something is about to happen every turn.
