My partner and I, who are always looking for games that can be played with only 2 players, as well as with 4 or more, stumbled upon this game and we decided to try it. I read a lot of positive feedback and I was confident that we would enjoy this game, my expectations were very high , which is not always good. After a couple games, we simply love it.

We played with 2 and 3 players and we have enjoyed both. With two players , it can sometimes be more difficult to win (beat the villain ), although there are some adjustments made to villains attacks and environments to suit the number of players. Many games that are designed for 4-5 players are a lot less interesting when there are only two players, but not this one, it is still exciting and fun with just 2 players. Each player is involved in discussions at any time to choose the strategy to be adopted by the group to attack, or defend against the villain selected, even when it is not his turn .

Immersion is excellent, we really felt like we fought against a villain and that every action we did had an impact on him, on the other heroes and on how the villain respond to our attacks.

There are many ways to change the game, combining 10 different heroes and villains 4 to 4 environments, hundreds of different combinations is obtained. The heroes have their strength and weaknesses, so it is possible to choose heroes that best combine together to beat the villain, or go completely random . Of course the replay value is excellent . I recommand this game to everyone, even for those who are not superhero fans, it is still a lot of fun and interaction.

I keep looking for easy and fun two player game and this one is one of them.

I’ve read some reviews saying it helps a lot to be an Adventure Time fan to enjoy this game, it probably does, but I think it is really not necessary. For the first couple of game we didn’t enjoy it that much but after a while you get to know the cards, wich ones are strong, wich are better if used together, wich one you can throw away, etc.

After 5 games, we tought we figured that one of the deck was a lot stronger than the other one, so we were a little bit disapointed. We kept playing and it started to look like the other deck was stronger. It actually depends a lot on wich cards you get, because you never get to go throught your whole deck during a game. We usually make it about half way when the game ends. So if all of the strong cards are at the bottom of your deck, you might find your creatures, buildings and spell a little weak.

What is nice about that game is that the two decks have different strenghts and weaknesses and you need to adopt different “strategy” depending on wich deck you have.

I gave it a 6/10 by mistake, I just can’t figure out how to change it to 8/10.
