Through the Ages
The game play is exciting and the game always changes according to the way the cards fall. It is fun to adapt to the current game and opponents. Learning how to play is fairly easy, learning how to play ‘well’ is quite a challenge. I find this to be the most fun part of it, analyzing the changing situations to come to a decision on your moves! The depth that Vlaada Chvátil has created is marvelous!
The cards and player boards are great, very easy to setup as they are marked intuitively. The actual pieces used for resources/population/actions are very small and have a bit to be desired.
If you love strategy and depth in your games this one knocks it out of the park!
