This expansion opens up possibilities in the Carcassonne world. It offers an incentive for completing opponents’ cities and makes the game more interactive. Great expansion.

This is a great expansion. It adds some more strategy without overcomplicating things.

This game is easier to learn than Race for the Galaxy and prettier than most other card games on the market. It’s fun to play (especially with three or four players) and should remain so for some time. I recommend it.

Dominion is easy to learn (each turn follows ABC) and surprisingly fun for two, three, or four players (and, really, about equally fun with all three groups). Every person I’ve taught it to loves it, and I’ve taught it to quite a few people (not all gamers). A fantastic game.

Acquire is a delicate balance of investing in long-term payoffs and keeping liquid assets. It’s pretty easy to learn, though the first game can be rough without an adequate guide. The Avalon Hill 1999 version is the best; the new version is all cardboard and not as nice.

This game is phenomenal. It’s easy to teach, beautiful to look at, and offers lots of strategic depth for two players. A great game in a small box.

Race for the Galaxy is tough to learn. REALLY tough. In fact, it typically takes about two or three full games before someone catches on. But once the light comes on, this game is a blast, and there are lots of options and paths to victory. It’s a great game, but you have to stick with it. The learning curve is worth it.

My family LOVES this game. It doesn’t look fun, but it is. Don’t let the cartoony drawings scare you off.
