I have had my eye on Machi Koro for a while but not quite gone for it. Got Splendor earlier in the year and it goes down a storm every time I introduce it to new players. It’s a little light for me but I got Gnomes of Zavandor recently which is similar but with a little more complexity.

I am a fan of the original art but found getting hold of the black box impossible. The number and variety of cards makes each game different. The variety of uses to which each card can be put makes for challenging decision making. Every card is good but which is best for me…now! After a couple of plays you get the feel for each of the roles in the game and what they can do, after that enjoy!
