This is the store that started it all for me. I still remember picking up my first copy of Settlers of Catan and Carcassonne here. They have a great staff that are knowledgeable gamers and a store feel that looks big box professional even though it is only one lone LGS. If you are in the SLC area check them out!
Also something not mentioned in their description: They have a good customer rewards program where they send you 5% of your purchases back every quarter in “Game Gold” that you can then use to buy new games.
I’ve played in a game event there and had a good time. I like the atmosphere, and it’s easy to get to. It would be cool to see it get more space for gaming and merchandise, but I can’t see that happening at that location.
As the time of the LGS seems to flicker and fade, I love this store. They reward the loyal, have a great selection and a friendly crowd. If only there was food, it would become my own personal McAnally’s.
This place has one of the better selections of board games in the valley, and the staff has always been friendly and helpful. Always love walking in the door. That said, I’d like to see another, higher-level game store rise up and compete with this one. I think there’s still a lot of life in a brick and mortar game store.
