About This Store

Emerald Knights is a family-friendly gaming and comics shop with a very active social calendar. They have multiple free events weekly (including general board gaming nights and specific-game-introduction nights) as well as paid-entry drafts and tournaments. They also have frequent signings with comic and board game designers/artists.

Over 3,000 square feet, Emerald Knights keeps its 2nd floor empty for gaming while the 1st floor is crammed with products. Always very clean and well-staffed.

These guys keep a very busy calendar with miniatures and LCG gaming activities. They do 3+ hours of Magic nearly daily, weekly sessions of LCGs like Android: Netrunner and Game of Thrones, and weekly miniature-gaming events for Warmachine, Warhammer, etc. They fill in the available gaps with general board game nights.

My friend works near there and loves this store. I’d love to go check it out next time I’m in the city. A bit too far to drive regularly though.

This store has a lot going on for their regulars, but it seems like if they don’t recognize you they don’t bother trying to connect. Rarely does someone come out from behind the counter for me unless I ask to see something locked up in a cabinet.

That said, they have a great selection of games and gaming supplies. I buy a lot from them despite the so-so interaction with the staff.

Every time I go to Emerald Knights there are a lot of people playing upstairs. It is open late and always busy. Not only do I buy most of my games there, but often I discover new games there. I don’t experience the staff issues that another customer has pointed out, but I don’t particularly like much interaction in a shop.
