A small store masks a nice variety of games and a very friendly staff. The store has a fair amount of \\\”mainstream\\\” games and a small toy section because it is in a district that gets many casual shoppers, but they also have a great selection of \\\”Hobby\\\” games including many copies of the latest games. The owner also listens to the customers and will order multiple copies of a game if one customer shows interest in it, meaning there is almost always something new to find.
Also: On Monday nights he hosts a Game Night at a local pub and will bring at least 100 games that are free to play.
Currently in the back of a hallway full of other stores The Game Getaway will soon be moving down the street to a much larger location with space to play in store.
This store is very small, but it has a surprisingly great selection of games. I’ve gone in just browsing and found games that I’d been looking for like Mottainai and A Study In Emerald. They also have a good selection of gift games like many collector editions of Yahtzee and a nice selection of Children’s games from European publishers that you don’t often find in stores.
