Although people love to talk about other CCG’s as something they would buy and play all the time.

This is the only one that has stuck. So many games have tried to replicate the ease of learning with the madness of mastering. Once you realize it’s not just about the best cards but also the best plays then it will finally dawn on you as to how this game has evolved over time. Having the best cards do indeed help, but if you don’t know how and when to play them, you are not going to consistently win. I don’t know a more effective way to describe the joy of winning a great match.

The competitive aspect of this game will make you come back for more. The player support is the best around, going to your first Friday Night Magic, will not be your last. The fact that your permanent score is kept without payment to the Wizards, makes life easier.

For just playing friendly with buddies, you don’t have to play with tournament rules at all. You can stack all of your cards and play without mana if you want. It’s the most versatile game I have ever seen played in this format.
