NETRUNNER REVIEW

Overview:
Netrunner was produced by the talented Richard Garfield, the creator of the famous known game Magic: The Gathering. NetRunner is a collectible card game that takes the player into a fantasy future, where the Evil Corporation is controlling down the whole technology and economy. Here where the play-role of (net-Runners) come to play, where their goals is to steal that corporation secret (agenda as its name in the game).
Netrunner is a two-player card game. One of the players will represent the corporation part, the other player will be a hacker (Runner). The basic game concept behind it is the runner will try to steal the secret agenda from the coloration while corporation will try to protect their agenda with secret traps and defenses cards. The win condition in this game is to deploy a total score of the agenda for the corporation or the hacker steel a score of seven points of the agenda from the corporation.

Both players have different types of variation of decks to form their playable decks. For the Runner (hacker) he has four different types of card to choose from them to make his card, same goes for the corporation where the player can choose from three different types of card to form his playable deck. Each card can change your strategy and the way you play to win the game over your opponent.

Gameplay:

Game starts with allowable numbers of turns (clicks) for both players. Each player will have some resources to achieve their goals toward winning. The resources of money, memory, etc., will be used by both players to deploy their cards in the field, where each card has it cost to be activated. The corporation player will try to establish as many lines of defense (called in the game ICE) to their secrets (agenda), upgrade and asset(Card that gave the corporation player some beneficial value each time he plays his turn). On the other side, the hacker, will try to install as much as he could of powerful hacks (called programs in the game) to break the ICE and reach the secret archives of the corporation.
The game-play has a lot into it, with random cards that appear once and while into your decks called events, those serve as a powerful magical weapon for both players that can break the rule of engagement between the two card decks for one turn. Hackers will play their cards face-up while corporation plays them face down, through time hackers have to open the cards to see what is hidden for them.
Hackers do not own the freedom of play all the time, where corporations can tag them and track them in sometimes, if that happens nasty things could happen to you the hacker cards. At the same time the hacker will be in a hurry to place right cards in the right place, due to the fact if the player doesn’t have any card in his hand he will lose the game to the mighty corporations.
So, it is a turn-based game, where both players will place their cards on the table. The runner will have the ability with enough power of attacks and programs to go and see the secret of the corporation cards. The corporation in its turn will be able to place more defense to their secrets alongside tracks down hackers and destroying their powers. Both players will have a chance to collect resources through their turns.

Game Experience:
This is just a matter of a new player of Netrunner, saying what is on his mind, who played the game for some few times.
I will start with the good experiences that I had. Net-Runner is the first card game I have played that brings total different game experiences in one game. If you play as a corporation, you will feel a different kind of experience and thinking as you as a hacker. It is a game that combines both game-play experiences in one! For that, you will hear people prefer to play as a corporation, all the time or as net-Runners, for a unique experience they had in each field.
Another thing I like about this game that every card is a good card if you think about it in a good way. Each card will serve a great purpose of your winning. In this game, you can play different type of strategies at the same time, for that every card count toward winning.
For negatives, I do not like the mix of different cards to build one card. For some cases, the game will be ended before it started in the first place. Nothing to do with experience in sometimes, it just you have picked a collection of card that where the totally killing the other player choice of cards, because when you customize your card deck, you will probably think about some strategy that works if the other player choice his cards based on your thinking, which is in the end a matter of a chance.

Conclusion:
In the end, Netrunner one of the best card game out there. With great unique game-play for two players. Netrunner should be your next choice for your card game!
