A table-sprawling shipment of Rum & Bones received this week will be taking most of our attention this weekend. So much stuff for only 4 factions! Outside of that we’ll probably get to Steampunk Rally, but that may be it.
What are you playing this weekend?
Arcadia Quest with my daughters. 3-player campaign through 2 scenarios and 2-player through 3 scenarios. I really love this game.
Also, jumped into Dice Masters finally with the D&D starter and about 10 boosters. My oldest daughter (14) and I really enjoy it and have only scratched the surface.
Probably pick up our Pathfinder Adventure Card game campaign tomorrow and maybe some Mice and Mystics.
Got in a four player game of Caverna. 2nd overall play and I see why it’s so highly regarded.
Epic Game Day quotes (one from each game, can you guess them?):
1- Our second chopper was toast after he stole the Code Cracker from me. All he had to do then was open the Red Briefcase to get the Bomb.
2 – Your last play with Friar Laurence totally balanced the Council and wiped out all my ways of scoring.
3 – I have never used the Lady Bug, but she seems cool. I think the Mosquito will change the game too much.
4 – Nice play with Master of Intrigue to score Line Dominance!
5 – I told you guys we should have taken the character that would have let us smell him. Now we are never going to catch him…
Machi Koro and Star Realms!
Had a fun evening (more of an day) with friends. Mostly light games such as Resistance, Coup, Spyfall and Ugg-tect to mention few. However got one bigger squeezed in there and that honor belonged to Eldritch Horror.
All and all, fun and long evening, last game ended at 4 AM.
Travel to DC brought out some travel-bag games of Love Letter and LL Batman along with a few epic The Duke games all with non-gamers who loved all three. But this weekend has an epic Wine Fest trip to Bernkastel-Kues up on the Mosel River now that I’m back and a hopeful celebration Monday of my 17yo completing his German fahrschule drivers test. We’ll see if we get some games in or not.
@JAY Happy Birthday! 🙂 A literal labor day celebration it seems 😉
It’s a traveling holiday weekend for me, so small games are on tap. Love Letter, Cypher, and Hanabi are it for most of the weekend.
Great Saturday visit with my mom, got some good games of Skip-bo, Phase 10, Zombie Dice, and Dungeon. expanding her gaming knowledge.
Hooked up with my brothers on Sunday to play Redneck Life, Ticket to Ride, Say Anything, and Diamonds. Great day of gaming.
Finished off on Monday with some two player games at home, Patchwork, Rivals: Batman vs. Joker, and Fallen
Celebrating my birthday… expect much “gameage”. Will report back after the holiday.
Not sure yet, but I want to bring Machi Koro: Millionaire’s Row to Afternoon Play which takes place here in Birmingham tomorrow.
Cold and rainy for the weekend… Hopefully Pandemic w/ On The Brink, DungeonQuest, Fortune and Glory, Zombicide, Quirkle, A Touch of Evil all hit the table this weekend.
Played a bevy of games last night starting with a couple of games of Rhino Hero followed by Escape: Curse of the Temple, 2 tense games of Castle Panic, which was very cool and ended off the evening with 3 rounds of Tsuro.
Saturday was a couple of losing but fun games of Flash Point: Fire & Rescue with my son. We played two characters each, which made things more interesting and I slowly added in some of the more experienced rules.
@Stratagon WOOO! EPIC GAME DAY QUIZ!!!!
Feeling the need for speed and uncomplicated, we had a 4 party/2 scenario round of Arcadia Quest tonight. It is a fairly easy pseudo-dungeon crawl to teach and we needed a break from Imperial Insult before getting Team Rebel skulls cracked by the new expansion.
Off to a late night drive heading beachside for the holiday weekend where the gaming will be at the threshold of gateway. It’s a ‘someone will bring CAH or some form of Munchkin and act like it is a briefcase full o MacGuffin’ type of crowd, but I am hoping to entice with a waggle of Smash Up BGB. Worse comes to worse, there is the hobbyist meets hops of DrunkQuest.
We just tried Freedom: The Underground Railroad tonight and lost badly. It is a tough one. We are looking forward to playing some new to me games of Thunderstone and Android: Netrunner.
I’ve been feeling kind of small these days so I think that my three-day weekend should be filled with such games as Tiny Epic Defenders, Love Letter: Batman, and Mice and Mystics. So shall it be played, so shall it be done.
Kicking bums at zombicide. Can’t stop ourselves.
Epic Game Day tomorrow. Quiz impending.
