This weekend will be a combination of joining fellow survivors and fighting hordes of zombies, as well as testing our teamwork skills as firefighters and saving lives! Now that I write that, I’m thinking that sounds like an intense game… but it’s actually two games… Zombicide and Flash Point: Fire Rescue!
What are you playing this weekend?
Smash Up and Nature of the Beast.
I’ll be playing To Court The king and 7 Dragons.
Android Netrunner and Talisman on Sunday.
Happy Weekend Everybody! 🙂
I’ll be playing board games for 24 hours tomorrow in support of Extra Life and the Childrens Miracle Network. Give it a look see at extra-life.org
Lascaux
Battle Cry
Pompeii
Patrician
Stone AGe
I am actually participating in a 24-hour board game event to benefit Children’s Hospital this weekend. In that time, I hope to get games of Village, Ticket to Ride, Settlers of Catan, If I’m Going Down, Alien Frontiers, Rex, and more in.
Work weekend, so not too much. But tonight will be my first attempt at a Friday Night Magic tourney. Piloting my Rakdos, pain will be felt by somebody.
Just got back from the honeymoon and we are still picking up the pieces. We have not opened all of our gifts yet even, but we did open a few and one was Qwirkle, so that was pretty awesome. I doubt we get much to the table with all the moving in going on.
Probably some LOTR:LCG, Mansions of Madness, and who knows what else?
Forbidden Island
Word on the Street
possibly Castle Panic
Costume game night! Giving prizes out to the best board game costumes. Already have 6 of us dressed up as the characters from Clue (easier to make last minute).
Will likely play a variety of Halloween games including several with zombies (Last Night on Earth, Mall of Horror, etc), Werewolfe, maybe some Arkham Horror or at least Elder Sign and Betrayal at House on the Hill for good measure on the theme. 🙂
Taking a run to Disneyland, so probably just bring some small, quick games for the hotel. Bananagrams maybe the new Killer Bunnies.
The LGS is (finally!) having an open demo day for board games on Saturday. They are featuring Netrunner and X-Wing but hopefully they will also bring out some other new games or maybe other people will bring in their own games to share. I can’t wait to try something new!
Nothing too exciting this weekend; just introducing some new players to the standard ‘Settlers of Catan’ on Saturday, plus a new 3 player game of ‘Axis & Allies 1942: Second Edition’ on Sunday (all day event, and probably most of ther evening too!)
Baptism on Saturday means there will only be time for a game of Lord of the Rings: the Living Card Game on Sunday evening, when we come home. Thank God for games with solo play possibilty!
wife has a bridal shower on Saturday (while I watch the kids) and then a Breast Cancer walk on Sunday. Not really sure how much gaming I’ll be getting in, but my friends and I are going to try yet again to conquer the 3rd Quest of the Hobbit. It’s going on try #19 if my math is correct, so frustrating. It might be only slightly easier this time around since we’d been playing it wrong (lol!) and doing both the riddle AND the “When revealed” effect on a card. (more discussion over at the Hobbit discussion area). Might squeeze in some gaming Sunday night too if there’s time, perhaps something random from my closet or maybe a new game. Lords of Waterdeep still intrigues me.
We’ll play a few games this weekend, but my new obsession is Libertalia… a great little pirate game. Maybe, I’ll play Loot, Jamaica, and Merchants and Marauders… just to make it an all-pirate-weekend.
War of the Ring
Age of Empires III
Dominant Species
I’ve got Pathfinder this weekend and my brand-spankin’-new copies of Zombicide and Pillars of the Earth should be showing up today.
