Being based in Albuquerque, New Mexico, there is an annual Balloon Fiesta that we take our families to. The only reason I mention that is because it will be taking the place of our game playing this weekend. So as we spend our weekend looking to the sky…
What will you be playing this weekend?
Got Smash Up, finally, doing that.
Glory to Rome Black Box Edition
Android: Netrunner
X-Wing Miniatures Game
Haven’t played the X-Wing game yet so I’m pretty excited.
Headed to the local game store grab a rental. It’s like a box of chocolates, never know what you’re gonna get. Probably the Star Trek DBG…
@ Alita_99: Have fun with Summoner Wars! It’s an awesome game, and the Master Set is a great deal. You should try it on the IOS if you can.
As for me, I’ve played A Touch of Evil a couple of times this week, and I enjoyed it so much that I ordered the Something Wicked and The Coast expansions (as well as both Hero Packs, gotta have it all! :)). Everything arrived from CoolStuff today, so I got it all boxed and bagged, and I’m hoping for an epic game of gothic horror this week-end.
Android Netrunner
Skulls and Roses
Nitro Dice
Poison
and I think I’ll pull an old one out the closet… Oil Power! 🙂
I’m in charge of games at my fellow game player’s wedding reception. Any ideas? I’m thinking party/group games like Telestrations, Shadow Hunters, Liar’s Dice, Apples to Apples, Saboteur, and Infiltration (for my sake). Any games that get ruined will be gifts to the bride/groom. 😉
It’s a Euro gaming weekend!
Agricola
Giza

Zombicide, Smash Up, Rune Age
Seasons has been talked about a lot, and there may be a run on Halloween games this weekend. I’ve taken to carrying Android: Netrunner around with me in hopes of teaching new players. I need to come up with a good way to teach it. It was so much easier teaching the original Netrunner to fellow Magic players back in the ’90s than it is to teach the game (old or new) to boardgamers.
We’re hosting a gaming party, so lots of things: Mansions, maybe some Descent, Smallworld, Discworld:AM, maybe some Arkham Horror…
I’ll hopefully be playing A Few Acres of Snow with my wife if she’s willing to learn. Then maybe some more Seasons which I picked up earlier in the week and love. Don’t know how much I’ll be playing though school is busy right now and will be consuming most my time.
Surprisingly enough (to me, anyway), we will play two card games. Blood Bowl: Team Manager and Lord of the Rings: The Card Game. Even more surprisingly, I am _really_ looking forward to it!
D&D, and hopefully a little more. Gotta do a wait and see on the little more though.
Time for my best friend’s annual Oktoberfest party on Saturday, so usually it goes into some card games or anything we can play in a less than focused state of mind;)
