We’re going to have a couple game nights this weekend and we’ve got three games on our playlist: Mice & Mystics, Mage Wars and DungeonCraft. We’ll be posting an article next week with our impressions of DungeonCraft and hopefully have a full review of Mage Wars up by the end of the month. This year has truly been a great one for board games!
What’s on your playlist this weekend?
(speaking of playlists, we did find it was fun to listen to the Star Wars soundtrack while playing X-Wing Miniatures Game!)
This is a gaming weekend for me
Eclipse
Magic the Gathering
Thunderstone Advanced
Sargeants
twillight imperium (got canceled)
Gamenight with my company: Formula D, Ticket To Ride Europe, Robo Rally, Small World, Guillotine, Pandemic.
Friends: Robo Rally and possibly El Grande
All in all a great and varied gaming weekend 🙂
mage knight, 7 wonders, ticket to ride, mice and mystics
Showing off Android: Infiltration to some friends, then probably Alhambra and Epic Spell Wars or Munchkin. Any game that makes you shout ludicrous things over the table can only be good in my book. 🙂
Probably some Thundertone Advance, and if possible some LotR LCG; and a lot of Ascension and Ticket to Ride on iPad
Tonight I finally got in a game of Open Rails Origins (which was a nice, short train game), and a round of Dominion. Not a bad night.
[Add] And now tonight my wife and I played our first game of Lemonade Stand – nice little filler game.
I feel like this list should be “What did you play this weekend?” I am almost always wrong. My plan is to play The Resistance, Pandemic and Dominant Species.
L5R CCG.
Playing Android Netrunner on OCTGN this weekend. I might load up some MTG decks on there and play that as well.
Happy Weekend Everybody! 🙂
Playing Syndicate on the Mac this weekend! Also some SimCity 2000. Really excited when I found it at: http://www.gog.com/en/gamecard/syndicate
This weekend I will probably play The Settlers of Catan with my sisters and niece(s). Perhaps Citadels will hit the table as well!
Going to a Heroscape tournament in Maryland tomorrow, so I plan on playing at least 5 games of Heroscape. It’s been too long since I had that opportunity, so I’m excited to get there.
Afterwards, some of us are planning on a game of Lords of Waterdeep (my first game), so that should be fun, as well. Can’t wait!
@ Kaleb: If you’re close enough to go to the Board Room in DC, you’re not that far from Savage, MD where the Heroscape tournament will be held. It’s always lots of fun, and win or lose, a great time will be had by all. Here’s the link, if you’re interested: http://www.heroscapers.com/community/showthread.php?t=42583
I’m really enjoying _The Great Zimbabwe_. Pretty much the only thing that will supercede it would be if my copy of _Terra Mystica_ arrives in the mail! (And even then, it’ll only win on “newness” for a single play: more than that will require a demonstration of quality – which, admittedly, the early reviews imply might be there.)
Checking out some old school games at The Board Room in DC.
Hitting a new game store in Charlotte (http://www.yourlocalgamestore.com) and seeing what’s playing.
We haven’t had much gaming over the last few weeks but it looks like this weekend should have some opportunity. I’m expecting to break out Knizia’s The Hobbit, but not sure apart from that.
