We received our box of goodies from the Fantasy Flight holiday sale today, which included Merchant of Venus, Planet Steam, Ventura and Winter Tales. With holiday decorating going on we won’t be playing much, but we should be able to get in a game or two amid the cardboard punching and rules reading.

Wednesday night: Fallen then Six Cubes
Thanksgiving: Six Cubes, Telestrations, Epic Spell Wars of the Battle Wizards
Friday and Saturday, no one to play with icy and cold out, stuck at home.
Sunday: Martian Dice, Incan Gold, Bang, Five Tribes, Blueprints, & King of Tokyo
Well got a few new games in yesterday. Nyet(1); Dice City(2); Fistful of Penguins(3) and 1 game of Arboretum.
Played Lords of Waterdeep and Cauldron. Got thumped yesterday in Zombicide.
And my Kickstarter copy of Argonauts arrived. Did a solo playthrough. Really like what I’m seeing.
Tried 7 wonders for the first time and got 5 games in one night. Brilliant game.
Closed up The Marcy Case in T.I.M.E Stories and made an absolute ruckus in our first game of Catacombs!
New to the site, but thought I would stop in and share what I have been playing this weekend.
Both games are new to me.
La Granja – Played the solo variant and enjoyed it a lot, so I am looking forward to getting this to the table with my gaming group.
Voyages of Marco Polo – Played a 3 player game last night and even though I finished last I enjoyed the play. I was overwhelmed at first with the amount of options and didn’t take advantage of my characters powers every time. Looking forward to getting this to the table again soon.

Well, I host a 1 day event today I call Gray Saturday. The idea is to bring games you got at BGGCon and play them or introduce them to those who didn’t go to the con last week. Since my wife and I brought back between 40-50 new games I will make another post tomorrow on what I actually played.
We played some random card games with the folks on Thanksgiving day. Today and tomorrow bring:

Already played Uno with family, BSG with friends and Bottom of the 9th and Imperial Harvest with my wife. Maybe get in some Burgle Bros or more Imperial Harvest or Bottom of the 9th.
Weekend started early for me, since I took Wednesday off. Tuesday night we continued our Shadows of Brimstone campaign.
Saturday we’ll start with Hannibal: Rome vs Carthage and after that not sure. Edit: Also played Pocket Battles: Confederacy vs Union(2x) & Washington’s War
Sunday we’re planning on playing The Napoleonic Wars.
Introduced my family to Telestrations. Instant classic, and it’s on everyone’s Christmas list now.
