Myth by Megacon Games just came in the mail this week! I’ve looked through all the components and have been enjoying the amazing eye candy. Whether I actually “play” the game this weekend depends on that awesome rulebook. I choose to say awesome so I don’t feel intimidated 🙂

So far, this weekend has seen King of Tokyo, Yggdrasil, Dominion, Race for the Galaxy, Alhambra, and Sentinels of the Multiverse. Canasta tomorrow and probably some more Sentinels. Busy busy.
Played C&C Napoleonics (can we get this on here please!!!), Council of Verona, and Last Will.
Sentinels of Multiverse, Ricochet Robots, Agricola All Creatures Big and Small.
Snuck in a little Saturday MtG but that’s probably all I’ll get.
Believe it or not, Classic Warlord!
When I taught Council of Verona last night, I didn’t include the poison expansion. I think it’s a quick enough game that you can teach it without the Poison and then play next time with the Poison.
@Paladin
I play with the Poison expansion – I think it adds a lot to the game. That said, when I teach new players I leave it our for the first game (I also just deal out the cards without any hand management).
I’m going to roll up my sleeves (and my son’s sleeves as well, if he hadn’t already) and tackle, splat, bash, and bonk those menacing minion, vile villains, and…angry archenemy?….(No. Not strong enough)…anarchist archenemy in Heroes of Metro City. I will also bring Adventure Pack 2 of Pathfinders to a close.
Keeping the Mice and Mystics campaign alive. Hopefully, some card and/or dice games for 2, 3, and 4 players – probably Hanabi, Babg! TDG, and Bohnanza. My birthday is next week so I have high hopes for next weekend! All I have asked for is games. Maybe Battlestar Galactica in my future.
Kicked off Friday night with Love Letter and then moved on to Ghost Stories. We were a single turn away from exorcising Wu Feng…but our third village tile got haunted and we lost. Whomp whomp. Oh well it was a lot of fun and we got to teach someone a new game. Success!
@Rich
Council of Verona is a favorite filler of mine. Do you play with or without the Poison Expansion?
I’ve been hoping @Jim will put a CoV page on this site for a while — it deserves a review.
One or two Acts from Myth and Eldritch Horror.
I’ll be playing Council of Verona (loving this wee game), Harbour PnP (obsessed with this one – do it!), and One night ultimate werewolf.
On the last one, I hope you guys can help me. I played for the first time last night with two others (all new to werewolf) and we really struggled to get what to say in the day phase to make it interesting. We kinda just stared at each other a bit. As roles were shuffled around it all felt a little random and pointless, yet everyone has been raving about it so I figure we must be doing it wrong.
Help!
Just picked up Belfort, and want to give another go at Ora & Labora.
On the road this weekend, so a lot of Coup, Bang:Dice, and Haggis. We are stopping at every FLGS along the way looking for a copy of Eight Minute Empire, but I guess a lot of these game stores don’t use their distributor. Oh well, I’ll buy it when I get home. I’m getting ready for Tabletop Day… need more games.
@Jim I had a good giggle at this week’s intro – yummy gaming eye candy and 62 pages of Awe-timidation! 😉 🙂
Aside from a quick bout of Battlecon: Devastation over hot chocolate tonight – a Gaming Free Friday
Saturday: The Boy takes the Fallen Kingdom to Round Two of Summoner Wars March Madness at the FLGS with his cronies and I’ll just browse since…well… Cloaks left me hanging on the line.
We just received our KS copy of Hero Brigade so we’ll take that out for a test drive. I was hoping our DC Heroes expansion would arrive so I could have some frothy and frivolous deck building fun with that 🙁
The ‘Burgers and BBQ’ version of Catacombs on The Kick has me itching for some finger flicking – but rain is scheduled for the weekend and it isn’t warm enough to bust out the Catacombs table (plus it works best with 3 or 5)
I think I will opt for ‘pouty face’ mode in order to get a game of Schlock Mercenary: Capital Offensive in (a very unsung game) to reconnect with the TACdice system and have it fresh in my noggin while checking the Sentinel Tactics crib rules.
Sunday: The Pathfinder ACG Six should FINALLY (*toes crossed*) complete the Skinsaw Murders adventures and hopefully move on to Hook Mountain since our Paizo subscription just sent us the next adventure pack and we are WAY behind. 🙁
We’ll probably warm-up with a King of Tokyo or Ascension game
Things feel very up in the air so like @Account Deletion and the namesake this weekend is going to be a very ‘@JAY Weekend’ (which is now my new phrase 🙂 )
Final report on Sunday 🙂
Played Council of Verona, C&C Napoleonics (x2) and Last Will tonight.
Played Lord of the Rings: LCG this morning
@Kaleb That sounds like pure craziness meets Gamer Nirvana 🙂
With any luck, I’ll get my group to try either 7 Wonders or Bang. We haven’t tried those yet, and I’ve been holding on to 7 Wonders for quite some time.
