So tonight we’re going to have a great turn out of players, maybe 7+. This means it’s time for an epic game of The Resistance. Another game we’ll probably pull out is 7 Wonders with the Leaders expansion.
Anyone playing anything new, or a game you haven’t pulled out for quite awhile?
I think my weekend will be taken up by Advanced Civilization and some more Le Havre iPod style. In a potentially related note, I expect my brain to be mush come Monday.
I will be playing the P&P version of “The Duke” a new game coming from Catalyst Games Lab that is currently on Kickstarter. I tried the game at Origins and was hooked. It is an abstract strategy boardgame with a Medieval theme played on a 6×6 grid with wooden tiles.Plays in 10-30mins and is lots of fun!
Check it out if you have the chance. You can dl the rules here.

I think this weekend we’re likely to have some Magic as my daughter has now discovered this and has constructed her first deck (by means of assembling a pile of common blue cards that she just liked the look of). I did similar with a pile of white, so now we both have rubbish decks to play with, which is quite a lot of fun. Other than that, I’m hoping to get a game of Infiltration in, which I’m looking forward to.
Finally played Wiz-War with my daughter. Very fun! I like the mix of race and combat. She might have won if I hadn’t drawn some lucky Energy cards and not been able to place a stone wall and a fire wall in her paths…lol. She got rid of the fire wall, but not before I grabbed the last treasure and ran back to my home base.
Going away tomorrow, may bring Timeline:Inventions and possibly D&D Inn Fighting along. Otherwise I’m hoping Sunday will be at least 1 round of Days of Steam and Wiz War. Maybe a quick round of Eaten By Zombies too…
