Now that we’re back with our gaming group we’re going to pull out Zombicide and play through a campaign. Should be epic fun!

What are you playing this weekend?

We picked up Bugs in the Kitchen on clearance at the Target. The game is really more fun that I thought it would be. I need some more Smash Up time.

We did get some Firefly played in the end… and on Tuesday night (normal gaming group night at the pub) we got through King of Tokyo, Luchador Mexican Wrestling Dice, Takenoko, Hanabi and Fleet! Amazing what you can get through when there are a nice round four players!

@Martin
I still have boxes of Star Wars CCG cards in my closet! Shedding a tear as I remember Decipher in their heyday. I’m sure I would have to read up on the rules as well.

I got to play a sealed deck tournament of Star Trek CCG with 4 players this weekend at the monthly gaming event I attend. It was great to get to play this game again, but boy was I rusty!! Who remembers this game??? Who still loves this game??

Played recently arrived Kickstarter games Spurs: A Tale of the Old West and A Duel Betwixt Us, both sadly missing from Boardgaming.com’s game library.

Had a real good day of gaming yesterday. Even though I was late getting to a game group in the big city (40 mins away) with my oldest, we got a couple of games in of “Dos Rios” and “Mad City”. Both interesting little games that I’ve never played before. When I got home, I played around of Bohnanza with the whole family before the kids bed time, then played some San Juan and Lost Cities with the wife.

My son and his fiancé are visiting this week and we were able to get in several games of Hanabi, though it seems that our scores are stuck at 21. Also got in a game of Puerto Rico tonight. We should get in more games during the week. Looks like Pandemic is up next.

Haven’t had Stone Age out in a while, so going to play that.

This weekend I had two gaming sessions in which I was able to play new games. On Saturday, we played Race for the Galaxy and Factory Manager . I enjoyed Factory Manager more than Race for the Galaxy, but only because it is the type of game that I generally like. I would need to give it a new try to Race of the Galaxy to be able to actually say if I like it or not. Today, I played Dice Town with my brother and then tried Android: Netrunner . We couldn’t finish this one, because more friends joined us and we decided to start a game that we could all play, so we played Concordia , a resource-management game that cannot be found on this website although it is really interesting; I would definitely be interested in playing it one more time, now that I was able to see what I did wrong and how I should go about it in the next play.

RevBob, I’m so jealous. I would love to have a regular game group that would take on regular epic games like Twilight Imperium. Have fun.

Busy, busy day today but The Lady and I settled in after dinner for two games of Pagoda (I highly recommend this 2-player game! Review to come this week!) and a few two-player games of Guillotine.

We’re planning on giving Kings of Air & Steam tomorrow.

During our second session I heard a strange sound. Like thousands of voices crying out in pain all at once, and then silence. At first I thought someone had blown up Alderaan, but then I realized @HaiKulture was playing BattleCON: Devastation. Definitely some jealousy here.

I’m about to watch the last hour of BattleCON tick down and cross my fingers that we get the printer Anath promo. It’s no giant collector’s box, but I’ll take it.

Saturday is our Twilight Imperium 10-5 game. We’ve consistently made this work in a set amount of time, even using all the expansions.
Sunday is a party with boardgames. Bringing more casual stuff: Ticket to Ride, Carcassonne, and Settlers of Catan.

Sigh – it’s one week to our local games convention – I’m in for the Dominion and Carcassone tournaments! I’d love to be playing Terra Mystica with Account Deletion (I own this, but haven’t yet played it), but I’m also very intrigued by Bedpans and Broomsticks mentioned by Jared and Nienhu14! If only I could – Maybe after next weekend 🙂

We kicked off the night with Jaipur then onto Cosmic Encounter. I suspect we’ll get into some Love Letter, Arctic Scavengers, and hopefully some 7 Wonders.

Not much gaming expected this weekend, but had a monster week with 4 days of gaming. Euphoria, Lords of Vegas, Space Sheep, Shhuro, Agricola all creatures, Hive, Power Grid, Escape, Blitz, Hanabi and Factory Fun all hit the table this week.

My son and I just finished a game of Space Hulk. Despite heavy losses, his Space Marines were able to cleanse their target rooms and secure their objectives. We then played a quick game of Star Realms (his first). It’s a great deckbuilder that’s all about player interaction. I highly recommend it.

Hoping to get more Star Realms this week-end and maybe a game or two of Rise of Augustus with the family.

I was able to encourage my group to play talisman a few weeks ago, since then have we been planing our next adventure. Tomorrow is the day, we will get to bleed and conquer in our little square kingdom.

The Boy picked up Thunderstone Advanced:Worlds Collide this week which we sorted and then just felt nostalgic to play a series of games of Thunderstone:G.E.D. and expansions to make sure all the ‘good ‘uns’ were re-represented. Ah Thunderstone we used to play you til our fingers bled like it was the Summer of ’69. While it is easier to play quicker decky games, still Top Deckbuilder on my shelf. 🙂

Sunday The Pathfinder Six will be BBQig at The Fortress of the Stone Giants for an adventure or two.

And I’m making sure to play a few rounds of BattleCon: War and Devastation to send the Final 24 of the campaign good vibrations and so @Paladin can feel a disturbance in the force and seethe with jealousy. A Canadian scorned gets even casually.
