Happy Holidays!
This time of year can be quite busy with all of the holiday festivities. The benefit is it also means spending plenty of time with family and friends! Board games are the perfect solution to bring family and friends together and spend quality time creating fun and lasting memories!
What are you playing this weekend?
clash of cultures, Magic the gathering, fantasy business
Played some Castles of Burgundy and Slide 5. Hopefully get to play some more, but not likely.
dungeon , star trek catan, mice and mystics maybe civilization if i get the time to read the rule book
Played some star trek catan, smash up, black sheep, and dc dbg. Don’t think I’ll get another game in this weekend
Nothing at all! Lo and behold ^^ Instead, I’ll be doing a recap of the best games I’ve played this year and also mention some of the titles that I didn’t get the chance of playing but really wanted to. I probably won’t be touching another board game or card game until next year 🙂
And with that said – I wish everyone here a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
Well, we really enjoyed playing Avalon (King Arthur version of The Resistance) last weekend, so we’ll probably get that out again. We will also play some more Cyclades, Mice and Mystics, and Eclipse. I have a stack of games that need to get played. There’s just not enough time in the day.
@Akden I just got my Holiday CaH deck as well. Can’t wait to crack that open and see what kind of Christmas cheer they’ve mixed up. Santa’s gonna get burnt this year!
Stuck at work,so just my iOS games tonight, then family time for the rest of the weekend, which rarely includes board games. *snif*
Going to a party tonight and planning on Cards Against Humanity (got the holiday expansion, so I’m looking forward to adding it in :)) and possibly King of Tokyo and the Resistance. My son and I really enjoyed the Kessel Run event last week-end, so we’re planning on some more X-Wing Miniatures tomorrow. And to top the week-end off, my wife has expressed some interest in trying Lords of Waterdeep. I’ll keep my fingers crossed.
Hot Rod Creeps around Christmas
Playing some Cards Against Humanity at an End of the World Party tonight.
Tonight we’ve got a bit of a grab bag. We’re looking at playing the new Star Wars LCG, Lords of Waterdeep, Spartacus, Android: Netrunner and/or Marvel Legendary. That same list carries over to Saturday alongside the X-Wing Miniatures Game, Cards Against Humanity and maybe a little bit of Gloom.
Game night tonight (Friday), looks like we are playing Eclipse. Never played that one before, so should be interesting. Hopefully Saturday, will play some X-Wing Miniatures Game with the family. Coloretto is in the mail, also to be delivered tomorrow (Saturday), so will probably get a game or two of that in as well (already got my 2 promo packs, Extra Cards and Limit Cards, main game was mis-shipped by USPS…lol).
Gotta squeeze some time for Legendary in as well, but company/family arriving Sunday for Christmas, so lots of work to do!
No telling to be honest. I may have to give a report when the holidays are done. I plan to be taking almost 2 weeks off, so hopefully, they’ll be plenty of games.
DnD: Next and hopefully some Android: Infiltration or Lords of Waterdeep
I’ll try to get some Power Grid going. I really love that game. Furthermore there will be roleplaying, facing the horrors of Cthulhu!
I doubt there’ll be much gaming this weekend, but we’ll be off to the in-laws for Xmas, so it’ll be time to pack the Travelling Games Cupboard (of Doom) again. It’ll mostly contain lightweight card games, but I should be able to fit some other interesting stuff in there. Definite bits will include Loot, Sleeping Queens, Coloretto, Eight-Minute Empire and Goblins Drool, Fairies Rule. I’m thinking of packing a bundle of Apples to Apples cards too, plus The Resistance: Avalon, just in case we get a sufficient number of interested adults around.
Giving TTR – Asia and Fluxx – Monty Python as gifts this year to the family. Can’t wait to try them out.
I don’t have much family here with me in Montreal so it’ll be a game night with good friends this weekend. King of Tokyo and some Zombicide then Christmas dinner with the family I do have here. Happy Holidays and a Happy New Year to all my gaming friends! Thank you all for a great year and many happy wishes to all of you and your families over the holidays. I look forward to an awesome New Year with all of you. Best wishes…Norlight!
Christmas means gaming with the family! Apples to Apples, Dixit, and Pictionary on the list. Maybe Pandemic and Killer Bunnies.
Already a couple of Zombicide solo under the belt, but for the week end will do some Deckbuilding with my wife; Dominion and Thunderstone.
