Another set of games arrived this week to work on: Machi Koro Deluxe Edition, Fire and Axe: A Viking Saga, the first guest artist version of Munchkin and Legendary Encounters: Predator. We’re particularly excited to get to Machi Koro, which has been high on the wish list for a year.
What are you playing this weekend?
I played Ticket to Ride solo over the weekend, I played a scenario from the scenario book, The Bridge at Chambios. I played as Americans and also as Germans (mainly the Americans, but as Germans I made plays where I could do the most damage). The Americans won at the end of round seven, they had two of the three objectives. And instead of playing ticket to ride, my wife wanted to play Settlers of Catan, Traders and Barbarians expansion. We played the traders and barbarians scenario, and as usual, she won. I like that scenario, but she almost always wins it.

Fire & Axe: A Viking Saga
# 1 is probably my least favorite game of the designer although that doesn’t say much. But talking about a varied portfolio…
@ inmarg You got #4! And what can I say, once you find a copy of #1 you are going to get many games out of it!
Both 1 and 2 have appeared numerous times in these quizes and 1 has been on 3 or 4 in a row now 😉

2 – The combat mechanic is a Roshambo variant. It appears often on my quizzes.

4 – The “song” is from an older movie. You can’t help but sing it while playing this game. Also, the game is not currently on this site.
