Forbidden Desert looks fun, but not sure it would hit the table much with other cooperatives we play
I feel like my kids and I figured out Forbidden Island and it got to the point where I did not enjoy it as much. Forbidden Desert adds to the game-play and I think improves the replay-ability. SO I wouldn’t write off Desert until you give it a shot. It is obviously very similar in many of its mechanics, but I think a better game overall for people that play more boardgames.
I have seen the Dice Tower guys talk about K2, but don’t know too much about it. Glad it is being featured.
My group enjoys Forbidden Island quite a bit. Forbidden Desert will probably be my next purchase.

Definitely looking at getting Forbidden Desert, but I don’t think K2 is for me or my gaming table.
I really like Forbidden Island, keep meaning to try Desert but never get to it. This was a good chance to learn more about it – now I’m even more eager to play it!
K2 has a very unique theme, well realized one too, judging by reviews. Not something that I’m into but I’m glad this variety is out there for the fans.
I enjoy Forbidden Desert, and its components are top notch. I like the theme and look of K2, but I haven’t played it.

K2 looks interesting. I’ll have to give that one a try when I get the chance.
Forbidden Desert appears to be quite a challenging game. Got a nice theme too. Unfortunately Forbidden Island did not go over well with my gaming group so I thinking this one won’t either.
