I just placed an order for both of these games earlier this week. I haven’t played either, but I am very excited to see them both arrive (should be today) so I can get started this weekend! I enjoyed learning about both games and feel I made a good choice in ordering.

I picked up Machi Koro through a Boxing Day sale – it’s a quick and simple game, unfortunately, just not one of my favorites. But because my girlfriend is absolutely in love with this game, I’ll keep playing it with her.

I still have yet to play with 3 or 4 players, so perhaps the dynamics of the game will change and potentially make the game more enjoyable.

MACHI (machi) KORO (koro)! Hoping the expansion fixes some of the replay issues. As for Splendor…just an awesome game.

I picked up Splendor during the Amazon board game sale before Christmas, but won’t have a chance to play it until after New Year’s.

I have had my eye on Machi Koro for a while but not quite gone for it. Got Splendor earlier in the year and it goes down a storm every time I introduce it to new players. It’s a little light for me but I got Gnomes of Zavandor recently which is similar but with a little more complexity.

A lot of hype on theses this year. Splendor was nothing spectacular IMO and my shop hasn’t been able to hold onto a copy of Machi Koro long enough for me to pick one up.

Machi koro is a great game. But I think it needs a fix and the expansion should remedy this hopefully. Nearly all games have Been won using one dice and not bothering to acquire cards 7 or higher.
I’d like to try splendor, I have read that the mechanics favour those that take an early lead though.

My daughter and I actually made our own copy of Machi Koro. The kids really like it, and I’m sure I’ll buy it when the cash flow is better again:)

I did play Splendor once during lunch at work. I can see why a lot of people like it, but I need more plays before I can decide either way.

I got Machi Koro for Christmas and my brother got Splendor. Neither one got played, however. I will have to remedy that.

Kool; I got Machi Koro in the mail expecting it to arrive tomorrow. Great to “have to” read more about it before it knocks on my door.

I thought Machi Koro was like Suburbia when I first heard about it. However, that is not the case. The artwork is nice, reminds me of the TV show Southpark.

Splendor has some nice components and seems like a fun quick game. I haven’t played either of these but will look to in the near future.
