What are Game Exploration Quests?
Learn everything you need to know about how the Game Exploration Quests work and see which group of games are explorable for the month.

Ooh, that’s a big, hard-hitting set. I assume that the aim is to introduce the Gen Con folks to some of the biggest board games out there?…
I would like to take this opportunity to remind everyone to read the existing tips on a game before posting new ones, to make sure your tip hasn’t already been posted. Or at least skim them.
I know it’s tempting to immediately post tips on the explorable games to exploit the attention they’ll be getting, but this time they’re all extremely popular games that already have a lot of tips, so there’s a very good chance that your favorite tip is already up there somewhere.
A good introduction to the hobby this time around. Probably a bit too easy to blaze through though.
@pookie You are correct sir! It was a breeze compared to last time.
I’m not sure if I completely agree with this list because last month I was introduced to several games that I had never heard of! And I thought that was kind of the point of these exploration quests, to bring more traffic to great games that most people don’t already know about.
Wow. Staple doesn’t make it justice. These are something like the old episodes of Star Wars for the sci-fi genre.
Videos have been added! The TableTop videos have a high production value, nice to see board games going more and more main stream in the U.S.
Just read that TableTop and Target have signed a duel sponsorship agreement. All the games on TableTop are going to be carried at Target and have little “As Seen on TableTop” stickers.
Definitely cool seeing this stuff get onto the shelves of a big box store. Might go pick up TTR to show some support (and because I want to buy the game).
woohoo! first set of explorable games.
There’s been some interesting studies done on the “Wheaton Effect” on games. Apparently, a lot of game stores are seeing big spikes in games after TableTop does a review of the game. Good for the industry.
I like it! Sure, there’s always the new and shiny games out there, but I am very happy to see some focus on these genre defining legends. I’m only sad that I’ve been reviewing their expansions and not the originals! Oops.
