Nothing really seems to be unleashing the Kickstarter Mania Kraken in me lately – and I’m fine with that.

The Boy is in for Xenoshyft and I’m liking TE Western but they just feel like smart pre-orders.

I am eagerly waiting for Mythic Battles to show up at KS (cause it would also mean that Conan has fulfilled it first wave at least), and sweared to not get into new campaings…

Then Nova Aetas and Guards of Atlantis showed up. As it is impossible for me to back both of them at this moment, i got into the second one, which seems would be harder for them to fund so they will need more help.

@Hai

At first I was not drawn by the artwork but then, I read and watch video about the game and I changed my mind.

So yes I jumped on this game with my 2 feet

@Burgerchief – That’s great that your friends are getting back into RPGs! And I’m sorry you can’t join them. I hope that young kids are getting into them too. I don’t think there are too many kids playing epic time consuming board games. Time consuming video games yes, board games not-so-much.

I’m a sucker for space battles … I just backed Fleet Commander.

EDIT: Then I realised it was going to cost me $170 AUD for ONE GAME, decided I could buy 4 different games for the same price and pulled out of the kickstarter.

Ooooo Tiny Epic Western looks cool. I may pledge that!
@stargazer this is very anecdotal but my friends have gotten back into D&D after several years away. For our group it is less of a patience thing and more of just having the right people who can dedicate a few hours a week. Trying to generalize a bit: People play epic, time consuming board games frequently, I think just finding that consistent group and a shared time or location is the hard part.

I would be there with them but having a baby and a wife in school makes my schedule unpredictable at best.

Pledged Tiny Epic Western and late pledge The 7th Continent (which is not on this list).

I thought RPGs were a thing of the past. It just seems as though we as a society don’t have the time and patience to prepare adventures, much less the attention span to sit in on hours long sessions. However, Kickstarter has several RPGs on a regular basis. And many of them are more than fully funded! It’s nice to see all aspects of gaming doing well.
