“Setting your Team Asia's limits”

When playing the Team Asia board, the two players in a team can only communicate with each other through the card holders that they share. When starting the game, each player has to simultaneously place one of their Destination Tickets in the same card holder.

When deciding which Destination Ticket to place in the same card holder, a player should consider looking at the Destination Ticket in his hand that has the most difficult route. This is indicated by the point value given for each Destination Ticket with the more difficult routes being worth fifteen or more points. Examples of these include “Kashgar-Canton,” “Bombay-Shanghai,” and “Bangalore-Peking.”

The remainder of each player’s Destination Tickets should have routes and locations lying within the limits set by the locations given on the longer routes. In connecting those locations, both players will have a greater chance of completing their shorter Destination Tickets which lie within those limits.

“Colouring Your Team Mate's Help”

When playing the Team Asia board, the two players in a team can only communicate with each other through the card holders that they share. If the members of a team are careful they can, if not identify, then can at least acquire a hint as to what routes that each wants to claim. The obvious means should be through the Destination Tickets placed in shared card holder, but it can also be done with the Train Cards.

When a player chooses to take Train Cards in the Team Asia, he must place one of them in his team’s shared card holder. When taking the Train Cards of his choice, he should indicate (if he can) the colour of the route that he wants to claim by placing a Train Card of that colour which he hopes that his fellow team member will add to.
