“Imladris Stargazer”

Dungeons Deep and Caverns Dim

Apparently there is an action window during riddle tests that allows usage of Imladris Stargazer (Look at the top 5 cards of your deck and rearrange them).

Riddle tests are 3 steps:
1) Decide sphere, card or type
2) Shuffle and reveal cards

Here is the opportunity, given Bilbo has resources. As an action Bilbo may use resources to draw cards which means you can activate Imladris ahead of drawing extra cards.

3) Determine outcome

Of course you still need to have a match on those cards to guarantee success but this might help a little as this quest is hard enough with these little tricks.

“Blades of Legend live on”

In our group we agreed that when not playing “Hobbit” expansions, we’d each take one of the treasure cards and be allowed to play them in our decks. For Sting we errated the card text to say “Attach to Bilbo Baggins or Frodo Baggins” to give Bilbo’s heir the ability to wield the blade as well. It’s worked well for us and lets us play these iconic weapons in the Lord of the Rings time setting. As always, YMMV. Until next time, beware the blue light!
