“Solo Play”

When playing solo, try to get the support tokens as quick as possible without going broke. Look for abolitionist cards like “Harriet Beacher Stowe,” “Lincoln-Kennedy Debates” or “Abraham Lincoln” to make these costs much cheaper.

This game goes quickly so don’t let these tokens sit there. You need them to win the game.

“The Conductor is the Way”

When playing this game solo, the Conductor character card is the strongest to use and help you achieve your goals. However, this game is always very difficult to beat. Don’t get frustrated. This is a deep game and there is a ton of strategy here.

“Agent role is also good solo”

I agree that Conductor is the strongest role for solo play, but I have won with Agent as well. Even though he can’t move the most slaves like Conductor, he can at least move some slaves as his normal role benefit like Conductor. However, do not underestimate his special one time ability to remove slaves from the slave market cards back to the supply to help give you a bit of a breather each round.
