“Be strangely kind...”

First, make sure you get someone in the armory. Having someone who can switch out action cards is HUGE later on in the game.

Every time we’ve played this game it seems to pay off to be generous to others at the start of the game. Stepping in and handling a zombie situation (if you can) keeps alliances from being formed. Also, people will remember your good deeds later on in the game when tough decisions need to be made. Being the hero early is easier since the zombies generally attack less, and are easier to quell on the first and second turns. Later on, being the hero can become more difficult.
However, since this game is all about survival, you can still be stabbed in the back if you are in the lead with victory points.

I’ve tried being wild and chaotic through the game and that usually just leads people to gang up on you. Although, it was quite a bit of fun…

“Armory B Side”

We found a way to “break” the armory B side using the thief. Basically, he kept on getting energy drinks and stealing from others. With the back door and mama at the location, it was never really attacked (since it is Z attack when Z# > people there), and if it was, the players had all received amazing items and had it in their best interest to protect each other. Even with the “must move” element, the players were able to stay alive with their other characters because they were getting amazing cards at this location. So when playing this location, it is pretty important that everyone understands the power at the onset, and then possibly, the others will vote out the moving characters which would make them have to move from the armory.

However, I think that we will use a house rule for future games. The rule is when the armory is bombed (which is pretty easy on the “b” side) that the location’s action is no longer available. The characters are just stuck there, unable to leave. I think it makes sense, since a destroyed location would no longer be useful anyways, and this is what happens when the Armory A side, and Water Tower A, and B sides are destroyed.

Alternately, you could also make it that you need to exhaust the character to get a new character card (which is what it incorrectly says in the rule book.)

“Don't do it just because...”

My siblings are very quick to action, and are offended easily. DO NOT vote against someone just because you can. That will frost them and then they may hold a grudge against you for future plays or future games involving free voting. Keep your friends and play nice if you can.
