“If they are never certain who you are or what you want, they cannot know what you are like to do next. Sometimes the best way to baffle them is to make moves that have no purpose, or even seem to work against you. Remember that, Sansa, when you come to play the game." – Littlefinger, A Storm of Swords

“An interesting extra scenario, but the main game is better”

This expansion offers a specific scenario, set during the Feast for Crows book in the ASOIAF series (roughly seasons 5-6 in the show).

It allows House Arryn to be played independently and alters the array of characters and dynamics of the game. Experienced players of this game may therefore find this a fresh way to play what remains one of the best strategy games.

However, I also found that there was limited replay value and that, frankly, the main game is better. Playing without the expansion still offers a huge amount of replay value and different combinations of Houses and strategies. This expansion increases this range moderately, but isn’t revolutionary.

Ultimately, fans of the main board game will almost certainly enjoy this expansion and it is a good fun addition. However, its value is somewhat limited and so do not expect an entire experience.
