Koryŏ

Koryo is a simple faction / empire building game.

Koryo consists of 8 seasons (rounds) during each round all players get to conduct 4 phases. Card drawing, Ordering (playing cards in front of them, Action (resolving card special abilities), and turn end (discarding).

The game is a single deck of 55 cards.
45 Character cards.
10 event cards.

The game setting is 10th century Korea steam-punk.

Fun game for a quick week night of gaming after dinner or just before bed.

“DC Comics: Deck-Building Game” is my first deck building game and wasn’t too interested in playing this style of game.

But I love the game play. Simple to learn and plenty of player choice which leads to strategy once you get to know the cards a bit.

Plays rather fast and can be adjusted by the number of “Super-Villain” cards you play with.

Art work is on par with the basic comic issue prints.

I will be looking at getting some other deck building games!

I love Warlord ccg. Summoner Wars turns out to be a lot like Warlords ccg.

While some may say that the game has chess like movement mechanics, don’t let this turn you off if you don’t like chess.

While Summoner Wars has the players making think ahead tactics you still have to deal with luck of the roll with 6d dice.

Each player plays walls on the battlefield. The walls allow for you to summon unit cards next to the walls. The object of the game is to destroy your opponents Summoner unit.

Great game!

Great card game for any avid game collector to add to their collection. I own the core game and pretty much all expansions.

This is a fun game for 2 or more players. For me it seems like you are playing a ready to go RPG, if you can get into the characters you have to play.

Great art work and game design by Thomas Denmark. I would suggest getting card sleeves or something to store the game in besides the box it comes in.

The game comes with small paper markers for your character location on the map. But you can sub any table top model/figurine.
