Nice filler game!

I love this reworking of the classic RISK game. I thought that 2210AD was the best re-working of the RISK game but this is even better! And if you open packets before your friends who have the game, please try no to spoil the surprise!

It is Catan at it’s core but adds a lot of variety to the basic game. Quite a lot of strategy is involved in this version.

We have the basic game and the 5-6 player expansion and I recently got the Star Trek themed version. Never found a need for the expansions!

I have only played it once but it was enjoyable enough to want to do it again. Thankfully I had an experience player who took us through the rules and game play. Pretty cool game. Minis should have been painted but were not… so I painted them for the owner.

Really like this game! It is easy to teach and learn and give some good light hearted competition between the players! If you start out right, you can run the game for beginning to end, but it makes you a target for the other players! Even though it is supposed to be played with only 5 players max, I have played with 7 and found no issue. It made it tougher to expand and grow, but it really up-ed the competition!

I was a fan of Squad Leader back in the day, and still am, but after it became Advanced Squad Leader and you had to quit your job to learn the game, I put away any hope of having a scenario based WWII game to play. But then came Memoir and I have been hooked ever since! I have all of the expansions and play it at least once a month. If you want a game that will play differently each time and love little bits and pieces in your games, then Memoir ’44 is for you!

I just love this game. As a fan of the TV series, I really enjoy playing the game if other players are familiar with the show and bring in a bit of role playing to the game. I have never been a Cylon in the game which I find a bit weird. The learning curve is pretty steep for this game so if you are just trying it out, keep with it. I also use the expansions but in part only, adding bits and pieces from each to make the game a bit more involved and exciting. Definitely one of my all time favorite games to play.
