This cooperative game is a lot of fun, and not very hard to learn. The difficulty level is set by choosing how many epidemic cards you put in the deck. Each person plays a different role that grants them unique abilities which are must effective when used with the team in mind. The 2nd edition is quite a bit improved over the 1st, so play that one if you can. One thing that you should take into account when deciding how many epidemic cards to use is that the game gets harder the more players you have…mainly due to the fact that you go through the draw deck faster. This game is in my groups top 5 favorite games to play. Even though the game is quite hard, it is still fun and I never mind when I lose.

This has become one of the favorite games for our group. The game may seem a little complicated when you first play, but it isn’t. This becomes clear after the 1st time so stick with it. Can be a little nerve racking, but in a good way that you would expect from a game when cops chase a murderer. Tons of replay value. The optional rules allow players to help the cops or the ripper, depending on who they feel needs help. The game has very solid game mechanics on both sides, and I find it equally fun to be the ripper or the cops. To me this game is a 9 out of 10.
