King of Tokyo
Just got my copy and gave it a go with my friends. I am more of a big box, strategy gamer, and at first was unsure about purchasing it. I’m so glad I got it! Easy to play, great variety with the cards, cool art, fast paced, exciting gameplay. We moved on to another game for the day’s session, but came back to KoT. It was that much fun. We loved the interaction; the game is simply hilarious.
The rules are easy enough that it could work as an intro game for newcomers, provided they enjoy the theme. Components wise, I wish we could get large, plastic monsters. Not that the ones provided don’t bring a lot to the game; they would just make it that much impressive. Overall, a must have in your collection, if you like uncomplicated yet fun games.
